Jewellery by Tim Noble & Sue Webster Since 2004, as part of an ongoing project in collaboration with Louisa Guinness, the latest range of jewellery, together with some of the artists' previous designs were showcased at the Louisa Guinness Gallery in March 2013. A trip to Egypt in 2009 inspired the artist's sculpture Gamekeeper's Gibbet, 2011: a shadow portrait constructed from casts of found dead creatures, in pure solid gold. It was therefore a natural progression to continue the theme in this new line of jewellery. These striking objects simultaneously represent an examination of both ancient Egyptian talismans and contemporary culture. Cast in silver or gold the jewellery of Tim Noble and Sue Webster are mummification in precious metals. Powerful, irreverent, subversive and humorous, the defining qualities of their work has not been lost in translation as rings, necklaces and bracelets. For further information please visit the Louisa Guinness Gallery.

NO – Dennis Morris Portraits The Vinyl Factory Chelsea 12 October – 11 November 2012 NO is made up of 11 iconic portrait photographs of the artists taken by Dennis Morris. As well as his celebrated work with the Sex Pistols and Bob Marley, Morris was instrumental in creating the seminal sleeves, logo and metal box for John Lydon's band PiL. Says Sue Webster: "Two of my all-time favourite album cover's, Iggy Pop's The Idiot and David Bowie's Heroes, were both inspired by the same painting, Roquairol by the German artist Erich Heckel. And so we approached Dennis to create an image for the cover artwork of our own record, I immediately wanted to capture the essence of the leather-clad Bowie from 1977, and to mix this with the portrait of John Lydon that adorns the cover of Public Image Limited's seminal album First Issue."

The Knowledge, Gervasuti Foundation, Venice Biennale. Bo Ningen performance and animation A new work by Tim Noble and Sue Webster was screened on the opening night of The Knowledge, an exhibition curated by James Putnam. Working in collaboration with the Japanese Rock Band, Bo Ningen, the artists produced an animated film which responds to the long black hair of each band member. To achieve this, the artists took samples of the musicians' hair to play on the idea of 'hair abstraction'. In response to this, Bo Ningen composed a track to compiment the film, thus creating a mutually responsive collaboration. The animation will be projected behind the band while they are playing. Says Webster: "I was totally blown away by Bo Ningen's performance at the 1-2-3-4 Shoreditch Festival, and especially by their hair which is cut psychedelically into three different layers, like a double fringe, and longer at the back. When Tim and I were invited to present them live at the Venice Biennale we immediately volunteered to make a video projection to be used as a backdrop throughout the live performance and the natural thing to do was to use their hair."

Other Criteria. Out of Print Books: S.C.U.M Manifesto by Valerie Solanas – Chosen by Sue Webster Other Criteria have invited a selection of their artists to name a single book that has influenced their work, shaped their thinking or encouraged them to create. Sue Webster said "I gave this book as a present to a boyfriend of mine whilst at Art School, it obviously struck a nerve with him as he dumped me not long afterwards for a blonde. I dunno, I thought it was a really cool present being an original 1st edition and pretty damn hard to find, I must have knew it was over, I kind of induced it." S.C.U.M Manifesto is a feminist tract written in 1968 by Valerie Solanas, the woman who made an attempt to assassinate Andy Warhol in the same year. It contains "the rationale and program of action of S.C.U.M (Society for Cutting Up Men), which eliminates through sabotage all aspects of society not relevant to women (everything), brings about a complete female take-over, eliminates the male sex and begins to create a swinging, groovy, out-of-sight female world.

DIG, LAZARUS, DIG!!! Book The 46-page hard back four inch square book contains exclusive handwritten lyrics and notes by Nick Cave, photos and illustrations, a three inch CD of the single Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!, plus an interview with Nick Cave and British artists Tim Noble And Sue Webster who created the cover art for the album, DIG, LAZARUS, DIG!!!. Nick Cave said "The little book is about the making of the song Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! It is a curiosity that deals with the preparation and final glorious outcome of a project that began on the back of an envelope, a literal 'scrap' of an idea and ended up evolving into a genuine cultural icon and classic rock 'n' roll song, due to the collaborative efforts of myself, The Bad Seeds and Brit artists Sue Webster and Tim Noble. The song, which is a comic re-imagining of the Lazarus myth (placing the recently 'risen' Lazarus in 70s New York City) is accompanied by an eight foot square light sculpture, employing over 750 light bulbs, built by Webster and Noble. This little book documents the journey of this mammoth collaboration. "Dig it!!!"

Polymorphous Perverse. Publication Published by Other Criteria, 2008 Tim Noble and Sue Webster's new publication documents in beautiful detail their critically acclaimed site-specific project at the Freud Museum, which was nominated for the prestigious South Bank Prize in 2007. This includes one of their characteristic self-portrait shadow sculptures Black Narcissus, a plethora of silicone rubber casts of Webster's fingers and Noble's member in various states of arousal which was installed in Freud's study. There is also detailed documentation and analysis of their complex kinetic sculpture Scarlett that was appropriately sited in the bedroom of Freud's daughter, Anna, the founder of child psychology. The publication also provides a fascinating insight into Freud's theories and how they relate to art practice with critical essays from the distinguished American art historian Linda Nochlin and James Putnam who curated the original exhibition.
